Senior Software
Developer
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for design
and development of graphical user interfaces for SMT products.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to write complex
performance-critical algorithms and GUI expertise. The candidate
will be required to develop an application prototype into
a commercial software release.
Responsibilities:
- Participate as a key member of the software development
team
- Design and develop Windows-based management software
products
- 32-bit MS Windows software development
Required:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a strong software
component
- Visual Basic, Visual C++ experience in a WIN32 environment
- ActiveX experience with multithreaded code
- Networking/Internet protocol experience
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong commitment to company goals
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills
Desired:
- Knowledge in most areas of the WIN32 API
- Experience writing and debugging code to run without
a UI e.g. Windows NT service
- Experience in a startup environment
- Experience in shrink-wrap software marketplace
The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years experience in software
development in Visual Basic, Visual C++ and COM. The selected
candidate should also have experience building database applications
against Oracle or SQL Server databases. Preference will also
be given to those individuals who have experience working
for companies developing commercial software products. The
candidate must be a team player and work well with other IT
professionals in a project environment, possess good communications
skills and be able to deal professionally with customers.
Systems Engineer and Support
Consultant
- Deployment of IT Works®
at customer sites
- Application re-packaging/deployment within the IT
Works® framework
- AD / Security Management - user accounts, file access
permissions/rights, performance monitoring and management
- Remote support for existing and future customers
- Sales support as required
Required Technical Skills:
- Managing Windows Registry and Dll/COM component registration
- Strong Scripting/Install background
- MCSE certified (NT or Win2000), VB, VC/C++ a strong plus
Competent in at least one item from each of the following
tools/areas:
- VB / WSH (any of the Windows Scripting Host languages)
/ Kixstart /
- 4GLs Wise for Windows Installer / SMS Installer / InstallShield
- Deployment/Management Tools (SMS, UniCenter, Tiviloi,
LANDesk, etc.)
Required General Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong team orientation
- Interpersonal skills for interaction with development,
support and sales staff within the company
- Comfortable using standard procedures/methodology
- Writing skills for technical and non-technical documents
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS or related
field
The candidate will be a team player and work well with other
IT professionals in a project environment. Candidates should
possess good communication skills and be able to deal professionally
with customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in
NT administration including installing and upgrading the operating
system, installing application software, including third party
products and experience with management software.
Sales Professional
SMT is seeking qualified, dedicated sales professionals
to bring an exciting and highly innovative methodology and
tool set to market. SMT brings state of the art services and
products with a proven record of reducing deployment and maintenance
lifecycle costs associated with NT and Windows 2000.
Your role will involve:
- Identifying prospects
- Initiating contact with prospects
- Educating suspects
- Closing sales
Requirements:
Can-do attitude, eagerness to learn, and "hands on"
approach, 5+ years experience including solutions selling
and direct sales experience or equivalent management/industry
experience.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, work well with
other IT professionals in a project environment, possess great
communications skills, able to deal professionally with customers,
and have experience selling PC administration/management software
and/or services.
